This document covers the details of using TypeLaunch and is not required reading. Since user interface in TypeLaunch is very simple, you can almost certainly make it all out for yourself. However, what little there is to know is all here for reference.
Window Contents
At the top of the window is a picture of a hard drive and the name of the currently selected volume. Clicking the hard drive icon will select the next available drive. If you have only one drive, this icon does nothing.
In the middle of the window, there is the text box into which you type part of the name of the application you want to launch.
At the bottom of the window is an up arrow and, if you have typed something into the text box, the name of the first application matching the contents of the text box. Clicking the blue arrow launches the application which is diplayed to the right of it.
The Edit Menu
The Edit menu behaves exactly as in all other programs, with two exceptions. The Undo command is disabled (it would really not be good for anything), and the Clear command deletes all text written in the text box of the window. If you want to delete the selection range only, simply use the Backspace or Delete keys.
The Launch Menu
Launch (Command-L)
Launches the application which is currently displayed at the bottom of the window. If no matching application has been found, this menu item does nothing.
Switch Drive (Command-D)
Switches to the next mounted drive available and scans this drive. If only one drive is mounted, this menu item does nothing.
Rescan (Command-R)
Scans the selected volume. This is useful only if you have installed a new application with TypeLaunch running and want TypeLaunch to find this new application.
Case Sensitive
Toggles case sensitivity on/off. This option is off by default. If you want to get matches more quickly (often with as little as two characters), turn this option on. If you want to avoid all the hassle of depressing the shift key time and again, leave case sensitivity off.
